Panasonic ES8103S Men's 3-Blade Rechargeable Electric Shaver with Nanotech Blades Reviews

I recently purchased this shaver because of the excellent reviews on Amazon. I had considered purchasing one of the more expensive Panasonic shavers but I decided to give this one a try because the price was so good. I have been using this shaver for several days now and I am very pleased with it. It is a gorgeous shaver and even better than I had thought it was going to be. It comes with a charging cord and travel case. It is very quite compared to most shavers. It gives the closest shave that I have ever had and I have tried a number of different shavers made by Braun, Remington and Norelco. It shaves the cheeks, upper lip and chin super fast without irritation but it takes a few extra passes on the neck for me personally. It can be used wet or dry and it cleans easily by rinsing it under water. Amazon is currently selling this shaver for about half the price that most other retailers are charging for it. If you are considering purchasing it then I would suggest doing so while the price is low.

Philips Norelco 1150x/40 SensoTouch 2d Electric Shaver Reviews

I'm 45, been shaving for ages now, and I have to say, of all the razors I've owned that are of an electric model, this one is the first one to do the complete job. What I mean by that is with electric razors of the past, I'd shave my cheeks and moustache area, and that'd all go well. When it came time to shave the hair on my neck, not so good. I'd have to do that part with a blade. Which kind of defeated the purpose really as I preferred electrics. I would replace the blades, tried a few models over the years, and I'd still have to do cleanup work (if not all the work depending on the specific unit) with a blade. This new one though deals with the neck hair, too. I have thick course neck hair, a lot more course than the stuff on my cheeks, and I when I tried my neck hair with this new razor, I wasn't expecting much. To my surprise, it worked! I was stunned, as I've never had an electric that's done that for me before. I give this thing five stars quite easily, and without exaggeration. Feels nice in my hand, too. The heads collapse and move around to contour to my face, which is probably why it works on the neck hair so well. A lot of my previous electrics were "hard heads", which didn't contour much - if at all. If you have hard to shave neck hair, I suggest trying this razor - it worked for me! UPDATE (Jan 20, 2011): I posted this review in September 2010, and after I wrote it, I continued to use the razor after that. I can add that the battery life was most excellent. I did not have to recharge it until early January, so the battery lasted for about 3.5 months. Now I didn't use it every single day, I'm a "shave every 3 days" kind of guy, but still. That was a long time between charges. I continue to be most impressed with this razor.

Braun Syncro Shaver System Clean And Renew Refills Reviews

I've owned a Braun Syncro for about a year and a half now. It's the closest shave I've ever had without cutting myself, and that includes the new triple blades. But those refills are pricey. Another Amazon review gave me a clue as to how to make each cartridge last six months. Here's how: Clean your razor once a week instead of every day. Between cleans, remove the cartridge from the cleaning machine and reseal the cartridge with the original plastic tab. No more evaporation problem. I've been very happy with the results.

Pampers Cruisers Diapers Reviews

I just received the newly redesigned Cruisers. I really like the new designs, they make the previously tired diaper designs look more similar to the Little Movers patterns, and I like the fact that the size 3 and 4 come with the outer quilting pattern like the Swaddlers do. I also like that they've put the padding back up the rear of the diaper some from where they removed it, and I like that they've made the liner white again as opposed to the dyed purple. The diaper itself, however, is basically the same as it's been since they incorporated the Dry Max changes back in January of 2010. My son is at the bottom weight limits of the size 4, and he still leaks out of the Cruisers. This has only been a problem since the addition of Dry Max. I know that they've changed the boxes to say "3-way fit" now instead of "Dry Max" to try to make people believe that the Dry Max ordeal is over, however I'm pretty sure it's still the same diaper, just redesigned, since they still leak and sag like crazy. I hate to beat a dead horse, but the old Swaddlers and Cruisers were world's better. I actually still have some from when my four-year-old son was a baby saved in a memory box, and they are so much more plush. We never ever had leaks with those Cruisers. I guess the bottom line is this: The diapers might be thinner and now cuter than they were, but they don't work quite as well as they used to and they sag terribly (my 22 month old son won't even leave them on once he's wet in them -- not that we want to leave him in a wet diaper, but occasionally when we are out and don't have a place to change him, it happens). I've always secretly hoped they'd bring the original Cruisers back because I loved them so much with my first son. Every time they redesign their packaging I always get a glimmer of hope that they have returned to the original thickly-padded, mesh-lined, leak-proof diaper, so I rush out and buy a new pack and I am always disappointed. I think it might be back to the Little Movers for us because there's no point buying the diapers because they are cute, and having to get up and change sheets, clothing, and diapers at 4am every night. UPDATE: Edited to say that we've given these another couple of tries overnight again and they actually didn't leak the consecutive nights, so maybe there is hope still for these! The new design patterns and quilting have really grown on me and I think I may resubscribe to these. Wish they'd put the quilting on the larger sizes too and I'd probably switch my older son to these also.

Fitbit Ultra Wireless Activity Plus Sleep Tracker Reviews

I have had the Fitbit Ultra for about a week now. This is my second pedometer, I used the Nintendo DS game Personal Trainer: Walking for over a year and I use a Garmin GPS watch for running. I am very impressed with the Fitbit and it is easily better than the Nintendo game (even though it is also a decent pedometer itself). The device is well made. It doesn't feel like it would break open if it got dropped. The button is hard enough to push that you won't push it by accident, but easy to push when you want to. I was surprised to see people recommending a pedometer leash for it, the thing clips to whatever I am wearing and does not budge. Jeans, a belt, running shorts, it doesn't matter, it's snug. So snug that attaching it to softer clothing takes a bit more work to get it attached. It does include a holster type clip for thicker clothes/belts, but I have not had to use it. The display isn't too bright and is easy to read inside. Outside in bright sunlight it is almost impossible to read unless you shield it. Which is fine, the only issue is when you are trying to verify you started/stopped an activity outside. When using the device to sleep the light from the display is not bright enough to be a distraction (not that it lights up much, just sometimes after it hasn't moved in awhile). I wear the thing everyday, all day, and the battery has been fantastic. I have charged it once for an hour during the week and the web page still reports the battery level as "high". The only time you can see the battery level on the Fitbit itself is when you plug it in to your computer using the adapter, it gives you a battery indicator then which has been almost useless. I plugged in one day and the battery indicator came up saying it was empty. I removed it and reinserted it on its adapter and the display said full. Luckily when it does it's wireless sync it records the battery level there more accurately. It's been 3-4 days since the last full charge and the web page still says "high". For daily use it has been fun to use and track my activity. You can press the button at any time to see your calories, steps, mileage, floors climbed, and your activity level (displayed as a flower). How accurate is it? That's hard to tell. Unlike some other pedometers that only measure steps after a few seconds of activity as to avoid counting shifts as you sit, the Fitbit seems to measure as soon as you stand up and walk. It seems to do a great job of not counting shifts as you sit as a step. It will count bumpy car/bicycle rides as random steps though, but there is no avoiding that unless you could turn it off. Comparing the results to what I would get with my former pedometer, it seems pretty similar. Mileage of course is off by a decent amount. I don't find that important, since even if I calibrated it for my step, throughout the day I take different size steps depending on what I am doing, so it always going to be off. This does make activity tracking fairly pointless though. For instance I walked for an hour, using my GPS watch or phone app I know I walk at about a 13-minute mile. The Fitbit recorded it as 17 minute miles, although it did a good job of counting my increased pace with the step count saying I was "very active" for that hour. If you want to track your walking/running activities, you are better off getting an app for your phone. I will say for everyday just walking around, it's not bad, and it's fine for comparing the mileage one day to the next with what it tracks. The floors climbed counter is surprisingly good. The GPS watch I use for running has an altimeter and the altitude on it never really settles down, even when sitting still so I was skeptical about the Fitbit's accuracy. It works well though, I go up about 6 flights of stairs a day, and the Fitbit is always right on the money unless I did a lot of walking around where the gradual hills may add up to an extra floor climbed for the day. Sleep accuracy is another recording I was surprised at. The included wristband you insert the Fitbit into is very light and hardly noticeable, I got used to it to the point I forget it's on. To measure your sleep you press the button to start an activity when you get into bed. The issue here is that if you lie very still, the Fitbit thinks you are asleep. I noticed usually I fidget though so it has done a pretty good job of detecting my sleep. When you look at the chart the next morning it tells you where you woke up, which doesn't necessarily mean you woke up, you could have turned over or moved. Usually you can tell if you were really awake though if it lasted more than a minute. The waking up part has been a bit iffy if you don't remember to hit the button again to stop the activity. Sometimes it says I fell back asleep when I knew I hadn't. And finally to tie it all together is the web page. Which is nothing short of great (unless you want to count calories). Histories for everything it measures, activity logging, badges you win for passing checkpoints, places to share/compete with friends. I have a Withings scale which automatically imports it's data to the Fitbit web page as well. The web page is very well done. For calorie counting it would be nice if they could do a deal with the Daily Plate, because the food database on Fitbit is just not very good. I highly recommend the Fitbit. If you are someone who gets motivated by stats it will get you out and moving. I found myself more likely to get out from my desk at work or took the half empty garbage out just to make sure I am getting some steps/floors climbed in to meet my daily goal. I would say the Fitbit with the webpage is the almost perfect pedometer. It's not great for exercising logging, but no pedometer is. If you want to measure your basic walking activity, you couldn't ask for more.

Pampers Swaddlers Reviews

I am always trying to get the best value for my dollar so at first I only bought whatever brand of diapers I had a coupon for. These are the only ones that never leaked. Also, I wanted to use up all the luvs and huggies I got for gifts but I wish I had just spent the money for these. I ruined so many outfits and had to do the full poopy dipe change (sheets, blankets, etc.) in the middle of the night so many times with him in other diapers. For a while anyone who was holding him would panic if they heard or smelled anything because those other diapers wouldn't hold his forceful breastfed pooh. These only leak occassionally. I guess no diaper is perfect. Also, the mesh is AMAZING. His butt is almost CLEAN after a blowout. So, he has never had diaper rash. You wont have to worry about your baby sitting in "flesh eating acid", as we jokingly refer to baby pooh as, if you cant change it the seconds after they go. I cant believe I am reviewing a diaper, but we are so pleased with these.

Huggies Snug And Dry Diapers Reviews

I have used a lot of diapers between my son and my daughter. I have tried many different brands, and I just love Huggies. I have never had any problems, and I feel they are good quality. The only time my kids ever leaked is when we use generic diapers or the Pampers baby dry (Pampers Cruisers are great, too!). I have always found that elastic waisted diapers work better and fit better, especially with mobile babies! Little tip I learned: In my experience, if you don't unfold the elastic around the thigh before you put them on, the diapers will leak. It's not enough to just open them up and slap them on. When I started fully opening the diapers before putting them on, I stopped having a problem with leaks. (Of course, when you have a morning diaper that weighs a few pounds, it will leak for a different reason!!) Also, I've seen a few reviews from parents who have stated that the Huggies bought online are of lower quality than what they have purchased in the stores. In my experience, I have never had this problem purchasing from Amazon, and I have never found this to be true. The Huggies I purchase from Amazon appear to be the same great Huggies I've always bought from my local grocery store, and local Walmart , and they react the same as any other "store purchased" diapers, with the exception that they arrive on my doorstep.

Philips Sonicare Essence Power Toothbrush Reviews

I bought one of these on the recommendation of my dentist. I was rather skeptical, but he was so enthusiastic that it seemed worth a try. I'm glad I did! These 'sonic' toothbrushes get your teeth far cleaner than I ever managed with a manual toothbrush; it's almost like getting a professional cleaning. There are some odd things about it: You need to turn it on after putting it in your mouth to prevent the 'sonic' action from spraying water or toothpaste all over, and if you touch the hard plastic part of the brush end against a tooth there's a vibration/sound that's rather startling the first time it happens. But, you get used to it quickly enough. The way the brush works (by vibrating instead of you physically pushing it against your teeth and gums) also seems to be quite gentle on my gums. The price is a little steep, but it really is a great product. The engineering is rather fascinating; there are no electrical or other connections (it recharges through an electromagnetic field instead of a wire) and the brush head itself actually works like a tuning fork, vibrating from ultrasonic sound produced by a device in the handle. This is one of the best purchases I've ever made; I only wish I'd gotten one years ago.

Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard Reviews

I like this product. Let me first start by saying that I do not think this is "the BEST" protein product ever. However, I've tried many protein products and this comes rather close.

In my honest opinion, "the BEST" protein product out there would have to be "Profect" by Protica Research. It's actually the stuff used by gastric bypass patients. It's 25 grams of high-absorb protein in only 2.7 fluid oz that literally tastes like fruit candy. But, it's way too expensive and a two-months supply can set you back a couple of hundred bucks easily. Because of this, it's better suited strictly toward its medical purposes.

This product is also not the "most cost-effective". There are plenty of other whey products out there that are much much cheaper and have just as much protein content, but they all pretty much taste like doo doo. What's the point in torturing yourself to save a few bucks? Cost is definitely an important factor, but not the most important.

Apart from all of the hype and apart from all of the hate, I would say that I really do like this product. It tasted a bit gross with just plain water, but when I added it to a cup of enriched soymilk, I couldn't tell the difference between it and a regular kid's chocolate milk shake. That is amazing. And this product did mix pretty well. I usually have problems with that when it comes to powdered shakes and it's always great when you can get a shake that doesn't just sit on the bottom of the cup and cement while everything else just floats to the top. I even added a serving of Benefiber fiber supplement, and it still didn't clump up.

One problem that I have with this product is that it does use artificial sweeteners, but I'll let that slide for now, since I don't intake too many products with them anyway. Still, it is a cause for concern for those you who want to avoid such things in your diet entirely.

Overall, 4 of of 5 stars. I'm pleased but not impressed. This product is definitely one of the superior brands out there but most definitely not a "gold standard". A lot could be done to improve it.

Luvs Premium Stretch Diapers with Ultra Leakguards Customer Reviews

These diapers work so great for our son!! We tried every other brand and they just weren't for us! My son pee's A LOT, and we had a very hard time finding diapers that wouldn't leak! We tried huggies and pampers and both leaked really bad! Some one suggested that I try the LUV's brand, just to see if it was any different! And Oh my gosh!!! It was night and day!! We have been using these diapers for over 4 months now and NOT ONE leaky diaper!! I do have to say that I think the LUV's run a little small, but that actually works great for us! My son is really tall but thin, and we think thats why we had so many leaks with the other brands. These diapers are super absorbent! And have absorbing, stretch leak protection along the sides! I love that the diapers smell like baby powder! lol It just adds to the good baby smell!! All in all!! These diapers worked great for us! But every baby is different, so buy a smaller bunch to see if they work for you first...and then if they do go ahead and order this big box!!

Sound Conditioner Sound Screen SleepMate Electro-Mechanical White Noise Machine Customer Reviews

I've practically nothing but superior factors to say about this gadget. Soon after studying all of the other critiques and comparing equivalent goods I ordered this 1, and also have been impressed (towards the say the least!) through the big difference it has made.

It mutes all of those sounds towards the point wherever I've been sleeping as a result of the night, not awaken through the noise even when. I've managed to in fact get off the sleeping meds completely. I now just take Melatonin, ten Grams Melatonin 99% Bulk Powder, which I am properly okay with as it's what you'd call a "natural relaxant".

The actual sound it helps make is what exactly is you'll contact a "white noise". It reminds me additional with the good steady hum of the fan. It has a couple of sound levels which are simply adjustable and it nicely blocks out popular noises like barking dogs, loud voices, highway site visitors, etc., that might avert you from owning a very good night's rest. I surely recommend this sound machine to anybody who is tired of acquiring their rest interrupted.

I had to laugh at your comments; I too have an idiot downstairs who can best be described as the ultimate couch potato. Every waking hour of this man's home life is spent with the TV on --LOUDLY. The guy must recite lines from "CSI" in his sleep. That is, if he ever does sleep. The TV is on all night. I can only guess that he must fall asleep with it on. Anyway, I think I'll pick up one of these doodads and get some peace.

I definitely have some crazy animals next door and the paper thin sheetrock "wall" that divides the apartment does not help at all. I have even called the cops and told them if they dont send some officers telling them to put the music down that what I will do will definitely make the headlines if they dont come. I think it should be like smoking and non-smoking sections....have apartments/houses for people who are normal, considerate of others and quiet......and then have a cave or an abandoned underground train station for all those animals that have no respect and consideration for others.

I've owned one of this machines for over a year, and now I'm looking for a replacement.. it worths every dollar that you spend on it.
My husband and I use to joke saying that the noise machine saved our marriage.. we had very bad neighbors downstairs, and the machine definetly helped covering the noise, walking sound, etc.
But now needs to be replaced for a new one.. is doing "too much noise"..
So my advice is buy it, but don't expect it to last so long...

Pampers Baby Dry Diapers Customer Reviews

Boy, are these terrific diapers! Plus, that is double the dimension with the typical packs of diapers (exactly) and it just helps make it simpler to have one particular this dimension and fill up your diaper stacker than it really is to have a zillion of the smaller sized packs. I like getting enough diapers to get a week and considering the fact that they are size 1, you go through them like candy! I am glad to have these and also to have observed them here on amazon.com. The diapers themselves are excellent - the only ones we've tried that don't leak. They soak up anything and quite frankly, I detest modifying crib sheets so they are undoubtedly well worth the money. Plus, they do not market diaper rash as effortlessly as the much less expensive diapers do.

Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser Customer Reviews

This can be my fourth or fifth water pik. I use it every night. They final about four many years tops then it is time for you to get an additional 1. The dimension of this one particular can be a wonderful characteristic, a little taller and narrower. Appears nicer out within the sink. The major portion that holds every one of the accessories is terrific due to the fact it's a nice leading around the reservoir and you also normally know in which all the accessories and extras are. I read that an individual keeps the reservoir filled and liked the major component so as to cover up the water. HELLO???? Why is everyone keeping water in there all day? Use it at night, empty it through the use of the water pik, and after that cover it with all the great white best and visit bed!

The pik functions terrific. The on-off switch is nice. The strain control dial is accurate and responsive. It's a littler quieter than my last waterpik. It starts as quickly while you turn it on. I hold the strain manage during the middle. Immediately after all my many years of waterpikking & flossing, midrange is good for me. You'd think I'd be higher but no, midrange is a very strong pulse and good for me.

The reservoir is too small for me but NO PROBLEM. I hold a plastic wine glass inside the bathroom and fill it up along with all the reservoir. Midway through waterpikking, I dump the glass of water inside the reservoir. No stopping and taking the reservoir off the base. I dump the water in while water-pik'ing and together with the machine still on. In fact, I never take the reservoir off the base. I fill the aforementioned plastic wine glass with warm water and dump it into the reservoir. With my particular dollar store plastic wine glass, it takes 2 1/2 filled glasses of warm water and the other 1/2 is left for the end when I need just a little bit more water within the reservoir.

I really like the way this waterpik appears and functions. Having to replenish the water within the reservoir is not an issue for me at all. If I had to stop the pik, take the reservoir off the base, turn on the water to fill it, secure the reservoir tightly back on the base, that would get old quickly. Remember my tip about replenishing the water and you also will love this waterpik.

EDITED ON 2-14-08: I still love this WaterPik. Everything I said above continues to be true. I just ordered this yesterday as a gift for someone and today I'm ordering it for anyone else. A really really good WaterPik.

Plastic wine glass because it's sitting underneath in the cabinet and occasionally falls out. Wow, I repeat it over and over, huh? I'll have to go take a look and count. That's some diagnosis you've given me of "obsession compulsive." Thanks for the consult.

I use a plastic cup too to refill. Another tip is to use warm water in the reservoir for those just starting out, it feels more gentle than cold water and if you have sensitive teeth the cold water can be unbearable.

Warm water is the only way to go. Cold water is uncomfortable and unnecessary. So not for those just starting out. For everyone! And after I go for a cleaning at the dentist, I bring the water pressure setting down a few notches for a few days and then gradually build up again. The highest I get to is about midway.

Omron HJ 112 Digital Pocket Pedometer Reviews

I purchased this gadget using the intent of monitoring my regular actions to obtain an strategy of wherever I was at the moment to set up some sort of baseline so that I could get a actuality test on my activity ranges. I opened the box, study the effortless directions, set up my private phase measurement (just measure off the distance of one's ten steps), and clipped it on my pants and forgot about it for the day. I was amazed to discover that a corpse could almost certainly move about more during the day than me!

Over the next six days, (this pedometer keeps track of 7 days of techniques for you personally); I virtually stepped up my game and went from 756 measures with no aerobic exercising on day one, to 7,880 steps with 30 minutes of nonstop aerobic physical exercise on day three! On a daily basis continues to be finding less complicated to achieve the 10,000 "normal" measures, and growing the aerobic steps as well (which are tracked individually). I can press the mode button, examine out how lots of miles my actions translate to, kilocalories burned, aerobic measures, and evaluate it using the past 7 days at the same time. It has turned out to become a lot more enjoyable than what I originally purchased it for. I actually feel better, and also the entertaining part is the fact that I'm attempting to beat my own private record from the preceding day!

This has been an eye-opening working experience for me, and I preserve this on or in my pocket the many time now, just to be sure I preserve a mindful eye on my steps and aerobic activity for the day!

As someone who worked for many years as a land surveyor, measuring distances is something I've done quite a bit of. Thus I tend to be rather hard on pedometers. In truth most of them are a piece of junk! Not so with this unit. In fact I am just completely blown away by the accuracy of this pedometer!!!! I have one walk that I do quite often that measures .88 miles if I don't take a slight detour, and .92 miles if I do.

I have the Omron Pedometer. I am not sure if it accurately measures the distance because if it doesn't record your stride in your walk then how can it accurately note the amount of your walk. Some people take fewer steps in a mile walk than others. So I do not now how it can accurately measure.

EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale Customer Reviews

I'm SO content to lastly have a bathroom scale that Works! My old Taylor scale was just crap. Seriously. I lost so much determination due to that point, it would give me distinctive weights anyplace within a 5-pound "range" every time I stepped on it, so I by no means had any plan what I in fact weighed, or whether or not my hard work was paying out off. Drove me nuts!

On account of that, I place my new EatSmart scale by way of a lot of "tests" when I received it at this time. I stepped on it 5 times within a row, alternating amongst it as well as old Taylor scale every single time. The old scale gave me five thoroughly distinctive numbers, as typical, however the EatSmart stayed the exact same every time! I even attempted placing the laundry basket on it in amongst weighs, to create positive it wasn't just "remembering" the last quantity. Nope! So then I attempted consuming a significant glass of water, and certain enough, the EatSmart registered a .six pound improve. Great! I am so pleased with all the consistency and accuracy of this scale. I am feeling 100x a lot more energized and motivated than I was yesterday, mainly because I know now I will have the ability to see the Actual effects of my actions, good or otherwise.

I have been looking at reviews all day...am in the same boat as you were, my homedics scale is giving me different readings all the time, so I am interested in knowing how ACCURATE the scale is, and I thank you for this. It makes no difference to me if it looks nice in my bathroom or not, as long as it works correctly!

I also had a Taylor scale that fluctuated as much as 5 lbs. When you're on a diet 5 lbs is huge. I just ordered this scale today based on all the positive reviews. Hopefully, I will have as much luck as you did.

My last two scales were both Taylor (I didn't think about who made them when I bought them and I got the second one because I thought the first one was lost in a move). Both gave me totally different weights (about 4 pounds off from each other) and both gave me either no change or HUGE changes. I ended up having to walk on with a 10 pound weight, get weighed, let it calibrate and get back on normally for it to change (sometimes there was a +/- 3-4 pound difference than what it had been telling me for a whole week!).
